Medicare Prescription Payment Plan

  •  This program lets you spread your annual prescription costs over 12 months. The “donut hole” no longer applies, and your yearly out-of-pocket limit is capped at $2,100, regardless of your plan. You pay your insurance company directly and owe nothing at the pharmacy.

  • If you've had a life-changing event that reduced your household income, you can ask to lower the additional amount you'll pay for Medicare Part B and Part D.

 Depending on your income, you may receive help paying your Medicare premiums, deductibles, and coinsurance through programs like QI, SLMB, or QMB, which have varying income and resource limits—contact the Customer Service Center (1-877-395-8930, or 1-215-560-7226 in Philadelphia) for current guidelines.

Medicare Part D Extra Help program

Are you eligibe?

  • You have Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) and/or Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance); and
  • You live in one of the 50 States or the District of Columbia; and
  • Your combined savings, investments, and real estate are not worth more than $35,130, if you are married and living with your spouse, or $17,600 if you are not currently married or not living with your spouse. (Do NOT count your home, vehicles, personal possessions, life insurance, burial plots, irrevocable burial contracts or back payments from Social Security or SSI.) If you have more than those amounts, you may not qualify for the extra help. However, you can still enroll in an approved Medicare prescription drug plan for coverage.
